For example, one of our sponsors' spot will have this announcement: Funding for this program was provided by: The Israel Film Center at The Jewish Community Center in Manhattan, a leading resource for Israeli film, that has the goal of expanding Israel's emerging film industry and promoting Israeli culture in America. A companion website israelifilmfestival.tv for the series will run concurrently to the PBS broadcast and the community outreach. Viewers will find in the site: broadcast schedule, trailers, interviews, missing scene, stories of the characters, downloadable music, clips and pictures and research material. Viewers will have the opportunity to buy DVD online, to join discussion forums and to write comments. The companion website will contain more detailed information about each film in this film festival and a history of Israeli film in general. Educational and Community Outreach Activities
Each time the film festival is to air in local markets, the local synagogues and public libraries will be encouraged to organize screening events around the broadcasts. Duki Dror will be available to make personal appearances at some events.
In order to generate public interest we will organize community outreach activities. A road-tour of screenings, attended by the Dror (or by one of the captivating characters in the films: Johar Abu Lashin, Vaan Nguyen) is scheduled to take place during the first national carriage, reaching communities and universities across the United States.
